Few visitors to Cambodia witness rural Khmer life in such details, let alone enjoy this level of one-to-one time with a Cambodian Family in their own home. Our unique' village explorer' trip not only shows you a different way of life, but show you to another, older pace, as you travel by ox-cart through the rice fields and a number of traditional villages, visiting a local market and sharing lunch with a friendly family. This is a wonderfully convenient day trip out of Siem Reap, and as we always say "although you are only a short distance from town, you feel like you have travelled much further - and also back in time!" We love how genuine and un-touristy it feels to sway along the dusty track in your ox-cart, gazing out over the rice fields and meeting villagers whose rattan-weaving and other craft techniques have been handed down over centuries.Here are the activities you will do during this one day trip:
